Just finished the original Dune series. Or I would have just finished, if I had posted three weeks ago. I didn't really care for book five until the end with Teg, and I thought Chapterhouse was just boring. That said, I'm totally sold on the series, and finished Hunters of Dune not too long ago. (Couldn't find House Atredies, and didn't want to do any of the prequal books out of order. Though I think it would have been better to save Hunters till after I had read those. Go figure.)

Currently reading The White Tiger, by Aravind Adiga. It's an interesting read.

I have to read Life of Pi by Yann Martel (yes, I KNOW I'm about 5 years behind everyone else with this) and Atonement (same thing) next.

So I've been kinda reading a Clockwork Orange by Anthony Burgeese lately. He uses a very unique way of telling the story, mostly because it seems like a rambling English man with a thick accent is telling the story. On top of that, he adds in what I'd call "foreign words" to the book, which after awhile, you understand what they mean. (like viddy, tolchock, glazzies, horrowshow, listo, droogs, malenky, devotchka, vecks, rookers, ect. You get the idea.) The author calls it Nadsat or something, basically a Russified version of English. Leadss you on a "linguistical adventure" (yeah, once you start understanding it. Only on chapter 4 right now, but I give more thoughts on it later... should have it finished soon cause I have to read it all by Friday. D:

Yeah, proably shouldn't have waited until the last minute to read it.

Edit: Also, haven't read Life of Pi or Atonement.

Heh, I still haven't.

I bought Sense and Sensibility and Sea Monsters. Same concept as Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, just not quite as good.

Oh, so A Clockwork Orange was amazing! Didn't take too long to get use to the language, and once I did it became easy reading. Alex is an awesome character and the ending is great too. The original American release didn't have the 21st chapter, which I think makes the book incomplete. The last chapter is Alex's big shift and he makes his decision (noted in the author's Introduction).

been skimming trough manga again. finally the time to do so. and since we dont have a proper manga/anime thread and I am too lazy to start one...Found out that Fairy Tail despite the extremely cutesy titel is a pretty cool shonen manga. Its like One Piece, replacing all the devil fruit users with mages with sometimes equally odd powers.
Also, latest issues of Gantz are setting up something epic. chapter updates are only once a month or so though...

Still lack the time to start the Dark Tower stories ><

Ok, you need to find time even if it takes a while to finish each book (I sometimes can't force myself to read for long periods and thus I tend to really draw out reading my books). just finish TDT 5: Wolves of the Calla and despite my 1 correct guess it BLEW MY MIND for this reason (spoiler alert)

Spoiler:
Towards the end they reference/downright USE 3 things from the following: Star Wars, Marvel Comics, and Harry Potter.....ya, legit USE the name Harry Potter! It halted my reading for a good 15 minutes.

Unfortunently I have no money to buy the 6 and 7th books so now I'm stuck without rading anymore and finishing the series Sad

Well try them, I got 2,4 and 5 there and I saw the others. At least here in Oshawa, I'd imagine they'd all have them or can order them at least. They were aboout $8.99-$15 a book Cdn. (There's different versions of each book. Same story, just some are bigger print and bigger size and stuff. I failed at getting a nice, all the same set going lol)
