Although I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask, can someone make me an avatar of Hannibal Kirby? Just the picture is fine.

This is onle of the most original idea's I have ever seen on the Internet. I have to say, first episode and I can't wait for the next one. I will gladly sell some sort of body part to fund this.

I have to say, I wasn't sure what to think at first, but I definately want to see where this leads. It could make for a neat story. Smile

Hey I am new, just saw this today, and wow. I was extreamly impressed, I mean, this was extreamly well done. You guys might want to consider selling the episodes on DVD when you're done.

Sorry, not gonna happen, as they've already explained. This is a nonprofit project, or Nintendo would have their heads.

Which reminds me: I keep hearing "a month", but is there an exact release date for Episode 2?

You've got a good thing going here guys. It's great to see that you're active towards the forum community as well Very Happy

I don't usually approve of parodies nowadays and I'm not a big fan of the nintendo franchise, but your take on this was just absolutely brilliant. So far you've got a promising dark comedy with solid acting/script/make-up effects and great music.

Keep 'em coming !

Katherine Steel looked VERY hot as Princess Peach.........

Err, anyways I am surprised to see the dude who does anime voice overs for DBZ, Bleach Yu Yu Hakusho and others in this, very surprising, I really like his work.

I loved the first episode. I had to laugh at everything I saw in it, because of the cleverness. The characters are, at first glance, dynamic and funny in a way. (poor Pichu)I lol'd at the Ice climber and kirby.

Can't wait for the second episode.

Edit: I forgot to mention that I really like the setting the episode was placed in.

Re: Thoughts on the First Episode

Post  Matthew Mercer on Sat Sep 27, 2008 3:36 am

Thank you all for the kind words!!! We are really excited to see how well received the project is so far (as the internet in general tends to lean towards a Hate Machine these days, hehe).

Your support and donations are beyond greatly appreciated, and we are already able to begin pre-production on Episode 3 with the generous funding you folks have provided us. We've also cast a few more of the primary characters for Episode 3, though you'll have to wait to find out who those might be. Wink

As for a specific release for Episode 2, I would like to say within a months time, but we adhere to the Blizzard school of production: "It's finished when its finished." If need be, I would prefer to take a little more time and polish an episode than rush it out to meet an arbitrary deadline.

We have some interesting things that might be going on with the project in the coming weeks, so I'll be sure to update you folks as details become more solid. Regardless, it's all good news, so I look forward to relaying it as it becomes reality!

I'm sorry, did Harlan Phoenix actually create an avatar of my "Tiny Guts" reaction face? ...'Cause I've always wanted to be an avatar. I must say, good show old man...good show.

Shame on you Harlan for not doing that.

Thanks so much for all of your support kids. We really enjoy making these and can't wait to get more of these out to you. In Mercer we trust! Vive le Grafton!

Now if you'll excuse me, I've gotta go to the pwn depot...

Speaking of the setting, are all of the episodes going to take place in the Mushroom Kingdom, or will we see other video game worlds as well?

I've got only one thing to say: Awesome.

The story is really interesting so far, the acting was very well done and the many small references (the door-potion, Waluigi, ..) just made it perfect.

Thumbs way, way up. Looking forward to the next episodes. Very Happy

I just rewatched it and still love it. It's awesome that you look around and may spot little hidden easter eggs for other video game fans to see. Its little things like that that make a series rewatchable time and time again.

I really can't wait for the next episode.

And I too have been wondering if we'll see other kingdoms outside of the mushroom one. It would be funny to see a random pokemon attack while they are walking in a field XP.

What everyone has failed to point out so far was the priceless "Yellow Cab Co." decal on Mario and Peach's taxi. Animal Crossing FTW.
