I don't believe I said anywhere that MM9 was bad due to it being 8-bit. I played it, I liked it, I just don't see why it has to be 8-bit to be defined as a good megaman game. MMX series was excellent until it went 3-D. I loved MMX4, personally.

Blue Madness wrote:Personally, I think that "Gameplay > Graphics" (which I agree with) serves as an argument against MM9's choice too... you see, lot's of people are acting like Megaman HAS to be 8-bit to be good (I'm not saying it's your case), when gameplay quality shouldn't have anything to do with graphics. I mean, if they can make a good 8-bit game, why can't they make a good 16-bit/32-bit/3D/what-the-fuck-ever game too? I've seen the comment you're talking about, and thought I don't quite remember who exactly it was, I think this was his/her point. If it wasn't... well, it definitely is MY point. Razz

Look, i'm not saying i like 8-bit games because they're 8-bit games. But for the people who's main defense for a game is that "it has great graphics", then they can go to hell. I'm tired of (mostly) 360 and PS3 fanboys who defend their console solely on the fact that their games have amazing graphics.
FOR EXAMPLE: the PS3. All its good games will or already have come out on multiple consoles, and a few beautiful exclusive games do not save it. Makes a great blu-ray player though.
Another example is looking at an Xbox/PS3 players (the immature ones, the ones that make up about 85% of online) in a nintendo related forum, or when a game of their console is compared with a nintendo game. 9 times out of 10 their first reaction will be "That Game _______. And it has terrible graphics." The blank will be their favored troll insult, of either "sucks" or "is ghey." Still. I would LOVE to see a good game with good graphics. but it just doesn't seem to be happening soon.
Look at Vista. Beautiful to look at, but a TERRIBLE operating system. People went and downgraded to the "inferior" XP because vista was so terrible.
Tell nintendo to get more games for hardcore fans out into the market, and experiment with others with the upcoming wii HD, or whatever the hell they're gonna call it. Maybe we'll see a happy medium with both mechanics included.

Megaman Legends/Megaman 64 was by far one of my favorites in the entire series, but that's just me.

Well if you just want the story play 1,2,4,7,8 but X6 was fun.

X=The start of the strory
X2=Rebirth of Zero
X4=About the history of Zero
X7=Axls debut
X8=Return of Vile and Sigmas end

If you have a psp get MM Mavrick Hunter X its X1 in 3D and explans the story alot better
