Is Whataburger comparable to another burger joint, like McDs, Jack in the Box, BK, In n' Out? Never had it myself

It's not super great or anything -- it's no Five Guys -- but we don't have them on the west coast, and I always enjoyed eating there on road trips out east. I don't remember them always being open (which is awesome) but I DO remember they were weirdly expensive.

I think if you do come back to the idea, a prequel series might be worth visiting. It could be the fall of the mushroom kingdom, maybe coinciding with when kirby goes on his cannibal spree. It'd be interested to see a little glimpse of things before they went downhill when some of the traditional roles were still there.

The problems with making a prequel probably have less to do with the concept, and more to do with the execution. TWBB is a huge effort on the part of the creators, and whether or not they feel that they could get everyone together and get another contract (or even if their willing to try) is probably the biggest question that needs to be answered before we talk about what to do.

From what I can see, Zach and Matt already have plans for their next project, so it looks like once this is all out of their systems they will be ready to leave the Brawl project behind.

of course, this is all just speculation on my part

See, the problem there is that Matthew Mercer isn't George Lucas.

They made the best food ever in life at the Whataburger out by me. Thee BEST. It was greasy and it was delicious. Mickey D's and Burger King just don't compare. Not only that, but the service was excellent. They brought the napkins and condiments TOO YOU. They had the most fastastic Ketsup, BBQ sauce, and salsa that you could ONLY get there and it ALL came in convienent dipping containers. Fries were always perfect and loaded with salt. Open 24 hours, breakfast served at 11 or midnight for twelve hours. Drinks are served in tall styrofoam cups, none of this sweaty plastic BS. Sandwhiches are HUGE.

(See? http://i167.photobucket.com/albums/u138/amlnathan/whataburger.jpg)

It was the best fast food resturant ever conceived by mortal men... AND THEY CLOSED IT! T,T

So, first of all, as a native Texan that grew up with at least 3 Whataburgers within 5 miles of my home, I feel your pain JayDeth. That is really terrible news. What a burger indeed! Strangely expensive, sure, but worth every damn penny? 100%!

I don't remember all of the questions that were posed. (I'm sure Paul's gonna make fun of me here for being terrible and not paying proper attention to the fans) Zach answered most of them anyway.

I will say that I'm not all that good at Brawl. We had a cast/crew tourney at my apartment back around Christmas and I didn't make it past the first round. Actually, I don't think most of the cast did. Tony Rago was too busy making all of us laugh for him to be good at it. Mercer was good, Zach was good...I think JoEllen kicked some ass, but Andrew definitely took the cake. Then kissed all of us.

I'm loyal to Link. Legend of Zelda for life. Even if Link was a terrible character to play, I'd still play as him because I love those games way too much. I think my second favorite is Pokemon Trainer just because I enjoy being able to switch between a dragon and a water turtle and a weird Gila Monster plant thing.

Tiers are for queers. Play how, who, and what you want. That's why I've given up on competative fighting games. Tiers all over. Have fun playing the game, Matt. That's what matters.

((And I don't mean to turn this into a tiers discussion. Just IMO, that's all.))

Umu, from my understanding of 'tiers', its a term used in fighting games to gauge the effectiveness of fighters. Some are 'Top' tier for being the most powerful/useful fighters for winning a match, others are 'mid' which means they're so-so, and others are 'low' meaning they're weak. Tiers is used in many fighting games like Street Fighter, Tekken, Smash, etc. etc. & characters in top tier usually have many strenghts & almost no weaknesses. Low tier characters would be completely the opposite with many weaknesses to exploit, given the right situation & that the two people using the characters were of an appropriate skill level.

(If anyone else has more info for the definition of tiers, just toss it in)

My understanding about Mewtwo was they didn't want a Pokemon overdose, what with Pikachu, Jigglypuff, Pokemon Trainer & Lucario....especially considering how hawt of a ticket Diamond/Pearl were in 07, they had to get in someone like Lucario to represent the 'new age' Pokes.

Tiers is a little different than that. The tiers represent a characters current standing and determined value within a dynamic metagame. It's not necessarily what character is better, but which one preforms well generally given the current metagame trends.
For example, Ike would probably be higher on the tier list if we were to factor in his strength at multiple KOs in free-for-alls, however the SSBB metagame only applies to 1v1 (and occassionally 2v2) matches. The reason Metaknight is the current top tier because in 1v1 his attacks are unpunishable and he is too fast for any chacter to stand much of a chance.
Tiers are subject to change over time, as the trends in the metagame change. In Melee, shiek was the original top character, and dominated the tier list for some time until people started playing as fox and falco a lot. Fox and falco had a big advantage against shiek, so she could no longer hold her place at the top of the list.

I hope that makes sense.

I've lost faith in SWF and other sites (like that ridiculous excuse for a decent Soulcalibur board and Caliburforum-killer 8 Way Run) because of the whole tier nonsense. It's ok if that's how they want to play - what pissed me off was that they tried to push their NoitemsFoxonlyFinalDestination agenda on everyone that ever played Melee Brawl. Ever. The same with any other fighting game, really, but moreso with SSB.

Edit: Items are what MAKES Smash. Without items, it's just another fighter with your childhood characters. But the fact that you can launch a bomb-omb or lay a motion sensor or kick a turtle shell or float daintily to safety by parasol? That's the way to go.
