What happened to the Silence of the Lambs parallel?

In the first two episodes the show was basically Silence of the Lambs, Kirby being Hannibal, Peach being Clarisse, Meta Knight being Dr. Frederick Chilton and the killer being Buffalo Bill. The scene in the mental institution really showed this and it went as far as having the killer skin his victims. This idea seems to have been dropped. Any idea as to why?

I did not mean this in a negative way I was just wondering.

If Peach was kidnapped, nobody can talk to Kirby, Meta Knight is in the asylum and we don't know who is the Killer, we don't have the characters to continue with the Silence of The Lambs....
The parallel with the movie was a good joke, but was good because they use it just in episode 2.

Although why one of the 'bros wouldn't talk to him? Well...they are on the lamb so they can't talk to kirby. And the Link police didn't seem to favor Peach talking to Kirby in the first place, so they probably won't explore that avenue.
So people either won't, or can't, talk to kirby. And he does wear other people's skins!

Although there are three episodes left, no reason why he might not make another appearance...Kirby was hard to make, why waste it? (oop, added more suspense!)

I would like to see more Silence of the Lambs references. It's seriously one of my favorite movies ever and the Kirby/Hannibal Lecter parallel was very clever.

I discovered them by accident from "the leek" incident, and was very bored on youtube. needless to say one day of my life I"ll never get back and I have a head full of high pitched songs.
Though I am a techno fan and I think they are perfect for that...but I digress.

I got a quick idea of what kind of audience this series appealed to after hearing that remark from Kirby.

I think Kirby knows what's really going on, and that Peach was abducted to keep from letting the cat out of the bag... it'll all come back to the pink puffball in Episode 9.
