If they're good enough, I'll come back and revisit them, expand them, etc.
If not, I'll put them all in a compilation and try publishing those too.

Re: How many of you write?
eh....my hand writing is atrocious. I hate having to actually write things, typing is just so much more convenient and faster for me. On the subject though, I have tried a couple things that aren't for books, like, I have this one game concept in my head. It's kinda like D&D in a way, I have the battle system worked out and everything, only problem is the actual storyline and the like. I'm to busy to actually come up with something on my own, though I have an idea but uh.....it's unoriginal.
Though, y'know, it IS more of a forum game. If I actually bothered to write up a script (lawl), dungeons, etc, I may be able to throw it up here. Should there be enough of an interest, I'll throw up the game mechanics and the like, how it works, etc., and see if it still has interest.

Some of my friends say I'm a good writer. However, I don't have patience to write, and noticed I get Writer's Block easily.

It's decent. An amusing version of Cinderella. If you continue to write, I think you have a lot of room to grow as a writer considering this is written with a fairy tale style in modern form, which is fine. Just doesn't show your full potential.queen_camilla wrote:I wish I could write. But I'm not very good.

Re: How many of you write?
Yeah. Problem is I'm so frustrated as a writer. Only times I ever write is for school/university and even for uni it was just a re-wording of a couple of paragraphs from a novel we were studying.
So I never write anything original, and when I try to, I usually give up after a page cause I abhor what I've previously written. I was working on a novel before but I looked at it, a year later, and I just facepalmed at myself, it sucked so badly.

Re: How many of you write?
I write short stories mostly, but I've been working on a novel for about four years as well. Not as easy as I thought is was going to be going in.
You guys can check out my stuff over at http://darklink42.blogspot.com if you're so inclined
I try to update as often as I'm able, but life has a funny way of happening.
Out of curiosity, what kinds of genre's do you guys usually write in?

So annoying :p before I heard of bioshock I had this concept of a distopian future where people had to live in cities under the sea cause of a toxic overdose in the air. Ending in a civil war and stuff. Then Bioshock came out and did a better job at it.

Like I've said before, I write a series with my girlfriend called NintendoLand. Check the link in my sig for details if you want, but it's not actually out. We mostly write it for the lulz, and haven't bothered releasing the 15+ seasons of the show (it's written in blocking format, because it's basically an RP). XD

Yeah i've written a few things that i had to later throw out because of other media. Like I wrote a screenplay that was incredibly similar to Dexter...then Dexter came outAvalanche91 wrote:So annoying :p before I heard of bioshock I had this concept of a distopian future where people had to live in cities under the sea cause of a toxic overdose in the air. Re: How many of you write?
I've written a few short stories and I'm actually currently in the middle of writing a novel. I've already written seven chapters. (Not sure how many pages that is.)
But you guys probably won't ever read anything I've written because I write in Finnish and translating it all would take years.

I plan on writing something that is much longer than anything I have ever written. Here is the prologue to that story.

I've actually started working on a Legend of Zelda fanfiction that (if I do say so myself) breaks up a lot of the monotony of Zelda fanfics by being not about Link, Zelda, Ganondorf, or any of the other major characters while still having a lot to do with them.

Re: How many of you write?
Let's see, I drew a ton of comics in Middle school and over and I still have most of them and like to draw more from time to time just to pass the time. If I ever get a scanner I'd probably post them online some time. There's also a story that I thought up way back in middle school that I've always had in my head but never actually wrote because I'm lazy and feel the story is too generic.
I've written a few poems as well. Here's one that took me about 2 weeks to write about the night before Super Smash Bros Brawl since I was so excited for that game, if anyone would like to see how I write:
I've written a few poems as well. Here's one that took me about 2 weeks to write about the night before Super Smash Bros Brawl since I was so excited for that game, if anyone would like to see how I write:
- Spoiler:
- Night Before the Brawl
As gamers around the nation rested in their beds,
Visions of Smash Bros danced in their heads.
Looking at their posters, on the wall,
They decided to remember about the Brawl.
For who could forget, at E3 2006,
When Nintendo revealed that Snake was to join the mix.
A third party character sent gamers to the wall,
Wondering who would be next, who else would come to the call?
But it was not just Snake that highlighted the game,
Pit, Meta Knight, and Wario, all increased the fame.
However, after the announcement, not much was known,
Nintendo went quiet, and stayed in their dome.
But then, on that day, came the great countdown,
Which made people jump, and fly all around.
When the countdown struck zero, gamers were in shock,
It was the opening of the Dojo, with updates every day on the clock.
For this would become the cause of it all,
Everyday there was something new, and gamers had a ball.
And who could forget the first big news?
Ultimate Power given to the one the ball would choose.
For it was the Smash Ball, which took tons of updates to truly discover,
Its infinite power, hidden under its cover.
As gamers learned, each character's Final Smash,
They soon realized that this would be more than a simple party bash.
Sakurai revealed 5 big announcements, throughout the course of this site.
That made fans so happy, it was to everyone's delight.
First, musicians from all around the gaming world were coming to Sakurai's aid.
To help make a soundtrack that would be unforgettable, and would never ever fade.
Second, there would be online, and gamers could battle with anyone, anywhere,
And they could send pictures and stages to people here and there.
And third, the stage builder let gamers' imagination run free,
As they created the wildest stages, the greatest things you would ever see.
But the 4th announcement, was so big, it caused one of the greatest cheers,
And brought many long time gamers, to sweet wet tears.
For it was to be, that the Smash World would never be the same,
As gamers turned on their computers and heard, "Sonic's the name, Speed's my game!"
The blue hedgehog was to be the next one to join the cast,
Who had caused so much trouble to Nintendo in the past.
But the 5th announcement, took the longest to see,
All the wonders and greatness that were to be,
The Subspace Emissary, that was the name,
Of the awesome single player, adventure game.
Which would have full cinema movies, of the characters at real,
And would make gamers shocked, as their eyes began to peel.
And as a bonus announcement that few saw coming,
Co-op was to appear, in adventure, targets, and home running.
It was quite clear to many, with all the new features and sets,
That this would be a brawl to remember, a game that will be one of the best.
As gamers pulled their covers over their head,
Before they barely went to sleep, they said,
"This is a game I will never forget, this is a game that will always stay.
This is a game I will always keep, and this is a game I will always play."
The End
