Yeah, I had that. I was told repeatedly that it didn't work, and me, being young and trusting, never tried it. >_<

Actually, the entire story was that only a fully charged shot from your default blaster would hurt him.

Sigma's weakness, in every game, is the worst weapon in your inventory. In one, that would be the Rolling Shield.

Yeah, scratch Queen Gohma as my most memorable. Kaiser Sigma was a BITCH. Almost impossible to kill without the Z-Saber.

well, in his last form. Sigma is notorius for being weak to lightning based attacks in his standard, humanoid-ish form. but in his last form, where you have to jump up and blast the head.....Rolling Shield ftl. Think I'm kidding about Sigma always being weak to the worst weapon POSSIBLE? Go play MMX2, and tell me that the Strike Chain is a good weapon. Yeap, Sigma's weak to that.

Wow. I figured out his human form was weak to thelightning attacks, but I never would have guessed the rolling shield would have done anything. The fact that the password save system stopped working once you began the final four levels didn't help either.

Does that include me Very Happy

Looking back the battle with the Masked Boy in Mother 3 was pretty cool, it even makes up for the extremely lame Porky battle

No, it doesn't XD
It includes Mr. Patch, Chilly Willy and Chilly Billi, Mingy Jongo (I specially love this one ^^), Klungo, Terry and, of course, The Hag 1.

Nice list but Terry!? Mine is pretty much the same minus her, and maybe Mr Patch, yep Weldar isn't on mine either.

Yup, Terry, I think he's cool. And besides, Terry is a "he". And Mr. Patch was epic, at least for me.

Re: What's Your Most Memorable Boss Battle?

Post  Banjo on Thu Dec 11, 2008 5:06 pm

Ninja'd Edit: You could go in there as a sub? I don't remember doing that!

His name is what makes it so epic. Lord Woo Fak Fak. I mean come on.

The final boss in Banjo-Kazooie was great. So many different sections, testing all your skills that you went through and collected. The Hag 1 in Banjo-Tooie was ridiculous. I couldn't beat that without the regenerating health cheat. Never got the hang of first-person Kazooie. But now that I've gone through CoD and Halo, I think I could do it a lot better. I'll have to go through the game again so I don't fail her quiz and get stuck with the fast attacks.

But if it was questions from the original, I could ace that mother. I remember where everything is. Go ahead, test me. But don't expect me to know which color Jinjo is where.

And as for most epic final boss music, I'm going to go with Banjo-Kazooie, Super Mario 64, and Final Fantasy 7. In that order.

I've never played the original Banjo Kazooie Sad The Hag 1 fight was pretty tough, but I did eventually take it down. FPS Kazooie was actually very well done, not surprising, since Rare also did Goldeneye 007, which is the best FPS ever released. Period. /Discussion.

LIES! I won't lie, Goldeneye was a very good game, but Perfect Dark beat it by a long-shot. The multiplayer was *so* much better. You didn't *have* to fight your friends, you could put computers into the game to make it interesting, and their difficulty ranges from WAY to weak, to it seems like the game is cheating. Also, you could turn the 1 player game into a 2 player game in 2 different ways. The first is just co-op similar to Halo's. The second is WAY more interesting. The first player plays as Joanna, while the second player plays as one of the enemies Joanna has to fight through. Usually the one closest to the 1st player, and if they die, they just possess another enemy. Makes the 1-player game SO much harder, lol.

Overall, I would say Perfect Dark was superior. But Goldeney came first and had the HOLY SHIT factor.

Any no more heroes boss really. Also as one of the 6 people who bought and played Okami, I have to say fighting Orochi kicked ass. I hold back saying Glados since it really wasn't much of a boss-battle...more like picking up objects and throwing them in the incinerator. The serpent lady from Devil May Cry 4 was fun and the final boss in Fire Emblem Blazing Sword or Radiant dawn was hard too. The Bone-Dragon in Zelda Twilight Princes was easily beaten but very amusing to fight against geek

Hey, I bought and played Okami too! And it's damn awesome.
Ninetails was my favorite boss battle in that game, I think.

And No More Heroes had some really twisted and funny bosses, but I've got to say that the best boss battles ever were in Shadow of the Colossus. All of the Colossi were really awesome to fight.

My thread lives again! And you've both played No More Heroes! I love you guys!

I, unfortunatley, am NOT one of the six people who've played Okami, but I like the tough-as-nails bosses in the DMC series. I'm currently debating who's cooler, Dr. Peace or Destroyman.
