That would be pretty sweet, if Killer 7 weren't such a disappointment.

Yes. Yes it is. It was more artwork than game, which is what I meant.

I actually had to read an obscenely long plot ananylsis on gamefaqs to get half of what was going on.

Most memorable? The spider boss from the Deku Tree dungeon. I forget its name.

Hardest? KH1 Sephiroth. I, too, shat myself.

GANNON-BANNED!!! (sorry, just couldn't resist XD)

Most memorable boss fight, for me... Wind Waker's Ganondorf, by far... It screamed "epic" so hard I could barely contain my excitement.
Twilight Princess' Ganondorf follows...
Star Wolf and True Andross in Star Fox 64
final Bowser in Super Mario 64
most of the Twilight Princess' bosses, they were the game's true spotlight IMO.
and most of the boss battles of Banjo-Tooie as well.

And yes, Gorblax, Queen Gohma indeed.

That's because it ends with Ganondorf taking the master's Sword through the fucking head! My favorite Ganondorf fight too.

When he started laughing after King Hyrule touched the Triforce, I couldn't tell if he was laughing or crying. And then I realized he had snapped, and THEN HE PULLS SWORDS OUT OF HIS SLEEVES.

The thing I loved most about Ganon in Windwaker was the developement of his character, especially compared to OoT. He seems older, wiser, and more confident instead of arrogant.

He doesn't look that fat in Wind Waker. Compare with Phantom Ganon's build, and you see he's actually just big, like he's always been, albeit in cartoonish proportion. In Twilight Princess, though, he looks like he has spent the last 100 years watching TV and eating chips...

Eiron wrote:Yep. Title is pretty self explanatory. List the most memorable boss battle you've encountered and why. Was it tougher than nails? Cool character? Awesome music? I would nominate a boss from Baten kaitos Origins, but for the sake of discussability (which is now officially a word), I'm going with the final battle with Ganon in the Wind Waker. Not really hard, but damn was it epic. And it did the unheard of and developed Ganondorf's character.

Probably sonic 1 and the swinging ball...
It wasn't especially epic...
But its the first thing that came to mind...
Also I really liked it as boring and uneventful as it was...

Didn't King Hyrule say something like "And may our destinies finally be forefilled. Ganondorf! May you drown with Hyrule!" WHILE he was touching the Triforce? That sounds like a divine death sentance to me.

Touche my friend, touche.

On the topic of a Memorable boss battle, I thought of another one that's pretty epic to. I don't think its that well known of a game, but its VERY good and definitely pushed the limits of the sega genisis' power; Gunstar Heroes. More to the point though, one boss was freakin win. Seven Force. Seven Force was this one large robot thing capable of transforming into seven different forms, hence the name. On the hardest mode, expert, your forced to fight all seven instead of three or four. On expert, bosses had a rather large HP gauge, and each form had its own HP gauge. Seven Force was capable of turning into a humanoid soldier, buzz saw, gun, tiger, phoenix, crab, and....something that I'm not capable of figuring out what it is, the game just named it Urchin. Everything was completely capable of kicking your ass though, and was much larger then yourself, even the gun form.

That does indeed sound intense. O_O

Most games today don't compare with the difficulty we had to put up with back in the day. I never did beat Sigma from Mega Man X.
(Although that may have been because my friend told me that only a certain attack could hurt him, which turned out to be untrue.)
