MARVEL TRUE BELIEVERS!

Post  MENTOK the MINDTAKER on Mon Nov 30, 2009 2:53 am

I figure since we have threads such as TM2, Zelda, Street Fighter and so on that there should be a MARVEL topic, for games like Marvel Alliance, Capcom vs Marvel and so on. Least now if someone wants to discuss it, they'll have a topic to do it in Smile

In other related news, I just downloaded Carnage for MUA:2.. his awesome, the missions are hard as heck though. Maybe it's the team I'm using No

Excelsior!

Still haven't played MUA2 but the idea of playing the Hulk is just too cool!!!

By the way, Spider-man on Playstation is still the best Marvel game ever.

When I first added the Hulk to my team I was in awe, his hulk smash is pretty sweet but add in his roar then tap the hulk smash button like crazy and as Deadpool (in the wolverine movie) once said:

"Ok.............. people are dead." Twisted Evil

Spidey has been my #1 all time favourite Marvel hero. Smile
Followed by Carnage, Magento Magneto and Wolverine.

I third? this notion.

Opinions, who here liked the WOLVERINE movie? I admit that when I saw it the first time (while in USA, nice cinema.. missing the rustic victorian look though Razz ) I found myself shaking my head a number of times, initially I thought it was terrible. Then months later, I watched it again on DVD and actually liked it a lot better for some reason. lol

I am a huge fan of deadpools character so yeah, kinda hate what they did to the fellow. other then the last half of the film, wolverine searching striker, finding all possible random mutants, yadi yada, it was okay.....not as a cinema movie but as somethin to pass a boring saturday night

I was also pretty disappointed at how Deadpool was portrayed, Ryan Renolds is a good actor and in defense of the script the movie is called WOLVERINE... but... come on... it's DEADPOOL! No clever zingers, no breaking the fourth wall?

I liked the Wolverine movie in the sense that it wasn't as bad as most people were telling me, and was actually watchable and even a bit enjoyable, just not much more than that. I mean, I rented it, and don't feel I wasted my time or my money, but it's not great either. Deadpool... I say, I could tolerate the movie's version of him, but if in the Deadpool movie, they use this version of Deadpool as well.. I don't think it will be really worth it.

So a defining difference between Marvel: Ultimate Alliance and MUA:2 was the amount of characters available, to put it out there for discussion... is a game worth playing more for a plethra of available characters to play as, or rather a limited but more specialised group of characters to play as.

This need not be specifically based on M:UA but practically any game that allows you to select a different character. Personally I'd prefer both, a large array of well designed, immersive characters as oppose to typically one or the other (despite there simply being very little room for both on the likes of console games).
