I dread my next bit of work...

I have to analyze a couple of episodes which is really boring. Don't get me wrong, I like to watch the episodes like the next guy, but I have to pay attention to detail, meaning I am constantly looking back to see things and make sense of them.

Ok......!

Well I decided to move on and start the Hyrule District so I am past the alleyway section and I am in the area north of it, where the Police HQ and Hospital will be.

I guess I will use this as an excuse... Well you will see a major difference between Mario's Territory and Links Territory. The building will have more of an architecture. I guess you could say it shows a difference between the districts if you want. That is the excuse I am using because I am too lazy to go back and overhaul all the buildings to look better. I might later. So yea...

Ideas people! Should I include a church and Graveyard? If so, tell me! Also someone had the idea of having rooms for Ike and Donkey Kong in the Hospital, well now that Zach has said they both died... how about Gravestones? Eh? And for Falco, Fox, Wolf, Metaknight..... Everyone who died! Eh? That would be kinda cool. Oh and I plan for the Hospital to be fully accessible except for a few parts. Oh and the roof, you can get on the roof.

Ok I have noticed a major decrease in activity on the forums due to the series being over. Posting seems a bit down, so I am sorta losing motivation! Come on people! Hang in there! Cool

This is another example of the architectural design I will be implementing into the map, Hyrule district and probably anything after it.



Doesn't that look better? It isn't plane or anything. It would have been fancier but I encountered certain issues that disrupted my plans.

Anyways the way I originally planned it will have to be changed. It would be a courtyard type surrounding. The police HQ would be in the middle facing a walkway etc. On the sides would be buildings and a hospital so it is more wide open than I had anticipated but it has to be that way to fit in the Hospital. But the perks of doing this would be making more detailed building that can really spruce up the place.

Now what would be AWESOME! Is if I could somehow get the news clips to actually show up on TV. Using game mechanics Valve was able to project streaming images to show up on the screens. The camera would be pointed at a voice actor or whatever and project it onto the screens. Now there is a youtube mod where you can have a video show up on a screen now if I could get a camera pointed at it and project it to the tv screens you could actually have the TWBB news be played on the TV screens, which would be awesome. Now if I could do it another way that would be even better. But this would only be the developers version I can't actually include such a thing that would lag multiplayer and such.

Hey dude anything helps. As a mapper I have a tendency to feel that my work is crap. As do many artists. But now I have a boost of confidence by that new building I created. Looking at examples of architectural designs Valve has constructed, I constructed a building similar to that in Half Life 2.

Ok, I am watching Episode 2 right now. Um the place where Mario and Peach meet Link looks like a small office but, I am guessing it is the Police HQ. But it is connected somehow to where Kirby is kept, which is either the Jail or an Asylum. But that is how I am doing this. But like I said before I will have to extend the area where the Police HQ is to make it all larger and look better.

The jail must be where Kirby is kept, because there's a jailbreak in the same building as Kirby.

Unless the Asylum is just attached to the jail.

This is a standard 3 story building. Main level, 2nd level, and 3rd level. On the main level is the waiting room/lobby. The 2nd and 3rd floors have 1 large apartment room on each. On the 3rd floor there is an exit to a fire escape, which will be in an alley way once I am done with the whole area. There are a lot of bugs in this building, those stairways were bitches to make.
