I often talk to myself, but I rarely answer back. Razz

God, it's not just a male thing. I think about sex a lot, maybe not as much as men do (on average), but I still do.

On a different note, I know what this thread needs:

Still, this doesn't explain why people "become" homosexual. I read once that a specific brain waive is involved, and it's present in most homosexual humans who were examined.

Lolwut? What do you mean a 'human perspective'? Something like a bump on the head or something in the water? You don't 'become' homosexual anymore than you 'become' straight. It's part and parcel of who you are.

Plus I've very dubious about the brain wave thing. Firstly, unless they can show that brain wave is present in all the thousands of other species that practice homosexuality then it shows bugger all. Secondly it's straying dangerously into 'being gay is a mental disorder' territory...

As for men thinking about sex every 7 seconds, one thing I want to know- how the hell did they work that out? Did they give guys clickers or something? O_o

uhm....there's probably a part in your brain that gets a small stimulation everytime they think of sex. Given that test-subjects are probably informed its a test about how often a male thinks about sex I assume the results arent 100% accurate.

You'd be hard pressed to find a vertebrate species that doesn't practice homosexuality.

Also, just to ruin your innocence a bit, orangutans have been known to construct sex toys and dildos out of sticks and leaves, and use them. Yeah... Shocked

The talking with yourself thing isn't as uncommon as you'd think, I've caught myself doing it quite a few times, especially if I have a debate or a speech coming up, or just an idea that I have been mulling over for a while. Unless you are finidng yourself unable to control the conversation, it shouldn't be a problem.

Ooo, this is interesting. Possible new species of human found in Siberia.

I greatly object to their use of the term 'pre-human' because, well, it's not one. The fact it was found in Siberia is amazing, since that place would have been a wasteland during the Ice Age. They'd have to be even better adapted to the cold than the Neanderthals were. I'm going to be following this one Very Happy

What's wrong with being a geek? Also, let's talk about global warming. To get the conversation rolling, I'm just gonna come right put and say that I don't think it exists, and it's all a load of bad maths, fuzzy logic and psuedo-science, aaaaaaaand GO!

It exists, but not nearly to the degree it's being hyped too, and the converse also seems to be happening. The summers are getting hotter, but the winters are also getting colder.
