Doctor Who

Post  Hans on Tue Apr 13, 2010 5:28 am

Discuss Doctor Who, if there are even more than 2 people on this forum who have seen more than one episode...

Poll: Who is your favourite doctor and why?

I like Christopher Eccleston the most because he was my first Doctor, and he's super cool.

Loved Eccleston, but God, I have to be lame and pick David Tennant. Because he was awesome. He really made the character his own. I think Eccelston would have made more of an impression if he'd had more time to be the character, but yeah. Tennant was amazing. I cried like a bitch when he regenerated.

Apparently Matt Smith isn't too shabby, but the writing isn't as good as before. That's what I've heard, I haven't watched the new episode yet. I'll watch it on Sunday night when it's on TV here.

YES YES YES YES DOCTOR FRIGGIN WHO.

Tennant, because I ended up watching the third season of the new series first, got addicted, and spent months waiting for the 2 previous seasons to show up so I could watch them.

Tennant, mainly because new series season two was the best one I've seen. Eccleston was great and Matt Smith is promising, if not a bit too friggin' young to be a thousand-year old alien from the stars.

I've heard Tom Baker is one of the greatest, but frankly, I haven't really watched anything from the old series.
Except for this:

Yeah, Matt Smith is just different enough from David Tennant to still be his own charcter, and be awesome.

I only saw one season and that was the one before this new season is coming out so I vote for The actor in the season I saw. Which one is that?

Hmmm, that's one thing Christopher Eccleston wasn't good at, being quoteable. Or maybe it's just been so long that I've forgotten them all...

Seen the first two eps of Matt Smith, so far, he's pretty cool, and his assistant is smart again, YAY!

Just finished watching Matt Smith's first episode. I love him already. Okay, he's not David Tennant (and really, the only complaint about David Tennant is that occaisionally he strayed too far in to Woobie territory...but even that made him loveable) ...yet. He's still bloody good, and Amy is an interesting sidekick, and I like her a lot already too. I really think I'm going to enjoy season 5. ^^

Wibbly wobbly timey whimey stuff, clearly, the words of a genius. I wish I could find the bit where he explains his timey-whimey machine.

The weeping angels, specifically, the bit where the police man comes back through time and the Doctor comes to meet him, and the explanation of the timey-whimey detector.

ahahahahaha YES.

I'm half tempted to go find the episodes online but I'm also really lazy and more inclined to watch them when they're on TV.
