Now if John Hurt really was the 9th Doctor (I don't buy it, he's 8.5 in my eyes) this next actor would be the last, at least until they come up with some shenanigans to keep the Doctor alive, which they'll obviously do.

I'm hoping Benedict Cumberbatch for 12. Just because. I mean, he's already an alien, right?

See, that's what I'm expecting to be their excuse.

Was Doctor Who rubbish in the 80s?

Fun fact: This was the chancellor of my university.

Helen A, really?! Please tell me there were some Candyman jokes floating around.

Also, it's odd to say, but I think 80s Who might be my favourite. It's all good obviously, and I'm sure my opinion is influenced by the performances on Big Finish but Doctors 5-8 have a mix of maturity, humor, and lack of brooding over the Time War which appeals to me.

He'd be up there for bad choices... Although my favourite is still Gordon Ramsay.

Just imagine that scene in the Kitchen in the Eleventh Hour with him instead.

Oh man, Gordon Ramsay has to do it. He has to. I would watch it if he did.

Like... there are bad choices, there are good choices, and there are good bad choices.

Like choices that would be amusingly horrible.

Like Gordon Ramsey.

Or Alan Rickman.

I'd love to see Gordon Ramsay as the Doctor.

He'd just yell at aliens until they shut up and shaped up. Unless they were the aliens running Amy's Baking Company.

At that point he would channel his inner tennant and just turn to one of the non-psycho employees, say "I'm sorry. I'm so sorry." And leave.

So, there's going to be a big 50th anniversary event going on in London in November, and the tickets go on sale on Monday.

So, TJ, can I expect you to visit my home country later this year? Razz

So we sort of know the Twelfith Doctor now. Exciting.

Not saying who it is if there's someone here who is willing to do the impossible task of not spoiling him- or herself.

Something I find interesting. My mother was born the same year Doctor Who started airing. My father was born the same year as the twelfth Doctor.

Re: Doctor Who

Holy Hell! After flipping out over finding TWO episodes almost two years ago (And people saying that MUST be the last find) they came up with NINE episodes as announced a few hours ago.

NINE

The two story arcs they came from were "The Enemy of the World" in which the 2nd Doctor also plays a power hungry tyrant and there's a load of mistaken identity plot points, and "The Web of Fear" which introduced the world to Lethbridge-Stewart, still a colonel at this point, and features the Great intelligence which only this last year got re-represented in NuWho. Sadly the 3rd episode is still missing, but this is pretty AMAZING news. Good year for Doctor Who I'd say.

Well, no more than normal really. ALTHOUGH... some new Coats came out that I've been looking for for a LONG time. And since they're decorative rather than meant for the cold I can wear them in summer (Which I had planned to.)

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00CGTWWLI/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00CGULVN2/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i01?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I've already got the scarf for the first one, and I'm in the process of knitting the scarf for the second one. So I guess I'll have two Tom Baker Outfits at hand (Although he's probably 3rd of 4th favourite for me)

Also: Books, DVDs, Memorabilia, Movie Tickets (So excited), and anything else I can throw my money at.

EDIT: Also that flask, I've been looking for a Tardis Flask too.
