Okay, watched Episode 2. Seeing Matt Smith get grumpy is weird. My mum described him as "sweet", and I think that's how I'd describe him too. It was a very Tennant-ish thing to do, really. I'm not sure it suits him to have breakdowns, really. I mean, I know he's the Doctor, and holy shit what he was going to do was just about destroying him...but yeah, it looked odd. Razz
Still, Amy Pond is proving to be a very clever assistant, and I like her.

Doctor Who Confidential has me shipping Matt Smith and Karen Gillan. xD

So since I had a week of freedom. And that I really only saw episodes in some random order. I went back and started watching from season one with Chris. I just finished Season 3 2 days ago.

The show had me tearing up at 2 spots.

Spoiler:
When Rose lost her grip and was being sucked in.

Spoiler:
When The Master died. Though The Master dying was far worse than Roses even though I knew it was coming. T_T Fuck you you bitch of a wife. *continues to drum to the beat of The Master*

I was looking forward to The Master halfway through season 2 and all of season 3. And The Master is no doubt my favorite character. A hyperactive evil bastard who is also smarter than The Doctor, and I absolutely love it. <3

I don't like Donna that much though. Not entirely sure why.

Oh man, how have I not posted in here?!

I will say that right now Matt Smith is my favourite Doctor. I've seen all the new stuff (Eccelston on) and I'm up to season 6 of the original series so I've only seen william Hartnell and Patrick Throughton. I've heard great things about John Pertwee and Tom Baker, so I'm looking forward to all that.

As for why I like Matt smith the most... for one he acts like a kid a lot of time. Almost all of the Doctors have a good sense of curiosity and wonder when it comes to the unknown, but Matt Smith really wears his heart on his sleeve when he sees something neat. Other Doctors may have been better speakers or "warriors" or defenders, but Matt smith is by far the most entertaining to just watch.

And yes, David Tennant kinda had that too, but he was much more adult about it. Matt Smith is very much a large child and it works perfectly.

I started with Ecclestone and totally loved Tennant, but Smith is still my favourite. He really has perfected the inherent goofiness of the character, but can pull off a surprisingly powerful dramatic presence. I hope he stays for years to come.

Also, The Doctor's Wife is my favourite episode. Series 6 was pretty much gold.

And speaking of gold...

Murray Gold.

I haven't talked about this show in forever. Smile Good to see some other people like it as well! My favourite was Jon Pertwee. He and Roger Delgado as the Master were epic together.

One thing to watch out for, particularly during Patrick Troughton's run, is missing episodes. Sometime in the 70s BBC started to run short on film so they decided to erase episodes of older shows and re-use that footage. I'm almost through that era now, and as soon as I get through Space Pirates I won't have to worry about it again.

Of course, Space Pirates was the second-to-last serial for Patrick Troughton. He sort of got the short end of the stick there.

Oh God do I hate the Ice Warrior episodes. They're a villain who's main attack seem to be breathing heavily into the mic (Not really, but GOD they are annoting to listen to. Who thought that was a good idea?!?)

I was going to put a video up, but apparently even people on youtube think it's too annoying.

Man, almost ALL of Delgado's appearances as The Master boil down to this:

Master: "Hello aliens, can I help you enslave/destroy the Earth?"
Aliens: "Okay."
*Time passes*
Master: "No, I want complete power!"
Aliens: "We didn't like you anyway."
*Doctor foils plan*
Aliens: "Now we are the dead."
Master: "I'll get you next time Gadget Doctor!"

I'm serious, The Master can't do ANYTHING that isn't piggy-backing on some other alien's plans.
