No, it stays in my room whenever I go outside for some fat bong rips. (Who seriously has theirs near smoke?)
It was just not reading, it was also very loud and spoke in clicks. I looked on the Nintendo website and they acknowledge that something like this was common, and that's how I got the free fixing.

@td260) Ah. Yeah, mine started to die in less than a year, so I was covered by warranty. If it happens again I'm SOL.

I had the clicking and the no-reading problem as well back when I first got mine. I sent it in to be fixed and everything was fine. Turns out the disk drives aren't exactly perfect on these things; mine broke again a year ago in the same way and had to be fixed the same way, only without warranty :/

Someone who has no other place to put it. So in other words, me.

I have a VERY bad set up for storage. Can't really do much about it either.

Don't store your Wii in a fire place then?

I take good care of my beloved consoles. But my sister tried as hard as she could to destroy my Wii. Tripped over the cube controller cord while I was playing Smash four different times and eventually broke the top cover off. We had to send it in anyways, because it was overheating, but they ended up fixing both for free.

Also, Red Steel 2 beat the stuffing out of my wrist at first.

For me the only actual pain the Wii has caused me is boxing on my damn wrists. I don't know why either, it's not like it requires huge torque or anything.

I take care of my stuff too.

(To celebrate the moment Razz ) Funny story, I bought that elite back in 2007 when they first came out, since my PS2 was stolen by leaving it at my friend's house. I was like 'Cool beans, I'll buy that, get back in FFXI, & then I can play with a majority of my friends since they have 360s.' On top of that, getting the Elite gives me the biggest HDD so I can load all the FFXI expansions (& then some), plus it has the re-worked Falcon chip set so it shouldn't get the 3 red Rings through overheating. & then last year happened......wrooooooooooong. Ugh, this was when the elite was $500 too, when they first came out, & I was working so I randomly called a Walmart & they had it. Called my friend (who actually spotted me on it & I had to pay him back for it off course) if he could pick it up for me >.> He awesomely did......& then it still red ringed on me Razz Allow me to now play this song, by Johnny Cash.

I haven't bashed any of the consoles I own, but the SNES seems to have lost the thing you stick the power pack into. My cousin, however, when he was really young he managed to spill chocolate milk on his Sega Genesis. It still played games, amazingly.
