I lolled at the fart joke. Yeah....

td260 wrote:oh, is it poetry sharing time?

"With silent fear I tread behind, For in most people I sadly find, A face with malice- a sneer of glee, as mocks are made a fact of me. So back I stay, my soul is weak- weighed down by life, my spirit meek. I Sit alone, My head held low- for who would want a man thus so."

Time for a hopefully motivational (and on-the-spot improvised) response:

"Yet light still lingers in my eyes, where dormant strength and solace lies. In deep remorse I do reflect; the darkness encasing my mind reject; the wrongs of my despair correct. As from the depths of sadness I spring, I care not derision they bring. Fear to passion does give way, I cower nevermore this day: the soul that was burdened now takes flight, the spirit meek set alight, with strength and solace burning bright. I shall no longer live in fear; empathy and compassion I revere. Hope and drive doth linger on, for every darkness has its dawn.

Now the oppressing fear I placate, my deepest dreams I consecrate, my sheer will I consolidate.

My true voice I shall vindicate."

Mine was an motivational (read: possibly lame attempt thereof) response to your and td260's emotional responses, so don't worry about it. It's a great gift to be able to get your emotion out through poetry the way you can, the writing quality aspect isn't very relevant by comparison.

And that aside, I disagree, your writing is fine.

Funky moods seem to be the thing tonight. Doesn't help that I'm sick, blech.

Also, to whoever brought up Christine O'Donnell earlier...

i guess part of my problem is that i've been putting on a facade to all of my friends, making them think i'm perfectly happy when really i'm not. and it's starting to come crashing down and wear thin. it just hurts a lot

Understandeab;e. I am the same way.

I can be a little more loose on the forum and internet, though. So it's all cool over here, Dark. No one's judging.

Except a few people. Or, everyone. Aw hell, I bet people are judging us anywhere we go.

YOU ARE ALL BEAUTIFUL
Except a few of you
In other news, Christine Whateverthefuckhernameis is NOT me. Dumb Witch Bitch.

My god.

I'm in the middle of writing this essay (due tomorrow, mind you), and it's really strange.

Basically, it's an autobiographical essay, and writing it is making me realize so many things about myself that I never really thought of before.

You guys should try it. I'm sure it would be more exciting if it weren't an assignment. DAMN YOU ENGLISH CLASSES.

Also, DAMN YOU TWBB for distracting me every 5 minutes.

@Snake-oh, you should have seen The Daily Show's treatment of that one today.

@Omicron-funny, I'm in the EXACT SAME POSITION. Only for me it isn't an autobiography, I'm writing three essays at once. A poem review, an analysis of Eveline by James Joyce, and a description of my favorite season...

AP English Lit is taking over my free time this year.

@Dark-I know your pain. I won't pretend everyone goes through that kind of pain in life: some people have it really easy. /resentment. But for what it works, I understand and relate to how it feels to have to hide your sadness, and I can see you're a good person. We're here for you, whatever our anonymous internet semi-presence is worth.

4 hours away, by google maps.

And 2 hours away from my house, actually.

Interesting fact, my parents are both alumni from SEMO; that's where they met. ^_^

Gah, I feel stupid all the time.

I'm stuck in work, my main creative outlet is writing which I'm really shit at, I want to get back in to university but I'll probably just fail again, and an overwhelming majority of my friends make me feel like I'm not wanted.

At least I have you beautiful people. <3
