Nooooo. Too soon. The man made some really funny movies in his life. I hope his last wasn't "Stan Helsing" or "Superhero Movie", he's much better than that crap.
Rest in peace.

Bit of a guilty secret, but Zoolander is one of my favourite films of all time. I've seen it God knows how many times and it still makes me laugh out loud. Good thing I don't have twitter, otherwise I'd have been spamming everyone with quotes all night. "What is this, a centre for ants?!"

Video related, one of the greatest scenes ever committed to celluloid.

You know Rare Exports, that weird-ass Finnish Santa horror movie I showed you guys some time ago?

I've seen it and it has restored my faith in Finnish filmmaking. If possible, just go and see it.

Saw Monsters today. I loved it. I've heard it described as an action movie for girls and a love story for guys, which isn't too far from the truth. The basic plot is that a few years ago a space probe brought back some alien life which has contaminated a large section of Mexico. The area has been declared an infected zone and sealed off. The two main characters- a photographer and his boss' daughter- have to travel across the zone and make it back to America.

And it's brilliant. The creatures are big and weird, but they didn't come here on purpose. They're only destructive when provoked. And the two characters, with lives completely alien to each other, start to grow closer as they journey and see what's been happening inside the zone. There's no real answers, no real conclusions. It's just two lost souls against a backdrop of giant glowing alien cephalopods.

Even more amazing when you realise the entire film was pretty much made in a guy's bedroom on a shoestring budget. Seriously, go see this film, it's fantastic.

I just saw Megamind. I wasn't expecting much from it, but it was actually really good. Megamind is such a softie, it's adorable.
But yeah, it's definately up there with Dreamworks' best. It had enough to appeal to adults and kids - like, I went with my five year old sister, and we both loved it.

Need money to go to the movies... So i can watch Scott Pilgrim about 5 more times, and then eventually see other good movies like Megamind and that Rapunzel one D:

I saw Unstoppable a week ago. Damn good action movie.
Really shallow story and characters, but goddammit that train was a thrill!

So I just watched Tron Legacy. It was pretty awesome.

It's just a good thing that everyone in the Tron World is either a Ninja or a Jedi, otherwise very few of those action scenes would be possible.

Finally got around to seeing The Social Network. I don't really give two shits about Facebook, but I was very pleasantly surprised. Apparently you really can make a movie about anything.
Highly recommended.

Saw Scott Pilgrim yesterday. It was pretty neat, a worthy watch, but not my favorite movie. Some of the fight scenes were a little boring, and there were juuuust enough things that annoyed me. Still good though.

I also saw Book of Eli recently. It was AWESOME. I'd never heard of it before, but I caught it on T.V. I'd definitely suggest it to anyone if they're in one of those "man, I want to watch a movie. But what? Let's go rent something" scenarios.

Should I buy Scott Pilgrim vs. The World on iTunes for $15? I have the money, and not much to spend it on. Is it worth it?

So... Just saw the new narnia movie. PRetty much followed the book, was a good movie as well, they changed a couple of huge plotline moments, but they did it to make sense in theatres. The only downside I received from this experience is that my local theatre was only showing it in 3D. My eyes hurt. I mean, the effects were good- very good, beautiful, in some parts. But other parts made my eyes hurt, and after 2 hours of using the stupid glasses, my eyes hurt. So... Good movie, if the 3D doesn't bother you, it improves it. If the 3D annoys you, it's still a good movie.
