Right now I'm actually more excited about No More Heroes 2 than Metroid: Other M, and that's saying a lot.
Hurry with the damn PAL release, Ubisoft.

Speaking of Ubisoft, they're huge douchebags. They are refusing to advertise the game.

SPOILER FREE

ALSO. You can switch which beam katana your using at any time, which is awesome. The levels leading up to the bosses are much shorter, usually only a couple of rooms, so the repetitive nature of killing everything that moves isn't really an issue. The environments are much more varied this time around, including plenty of large outdoor areas and destructive environments. Standard enemy variety is also much greater. Watch out for fat dudes with chainsaws. Side jobs are fun, but you'll probably just stick with one or two of them to raise cash. The amount of fanservice in this game is mind boggling. Sylvia usually gives you a bit of exposition on each boss before you face them, but the amount of characterization and dialogue the bosses themselves have seems to be considerably reduced from the first game, which is my biggest complaint so far. They're all ridiculously over the top and awesome, but much less memorable than the first game's baddies. All of them so far, with the probable exception of Skelter Helter, don't use aliases. So instead of going up against Death Metals and Speed Busters, you're going up against Nathan Copelands and Matt Helms. Not nearly as awesome. Despite that, I think Desperate Struggle is looking to upstage the original. I'll continue posting general non-spoiler updates as I play.

Ninja edit: NMH2 got a fair amount of advertising stateside, so I'm surprised to hear that's not the case across the pond. D:

It's all spoiler free, general impressions, and comparisons between the two games, but I'll add a disclaimer at the top.

Wait, what. It finally came out today in the PAL region, it seems.
Fuck yes. Four months later than it should, but fuck yes.

If it's not identical to the US version after all this time, I'll go out and murder someone. But still. Fuck yes, NMH.

Just bought both, they should be arriving sometime 2 weeks from now. I'm a happy gamer. Unless the package gets lost, then I'm a very, very angry gamer.
