I kicked up another run through of Twilight Princess this weekend. I've gotten past the first dungeon and that's where I stopped because it was late. All in all though, fun was had.

I'm also replaying it, but I'm at the Snowpoint Temple Razz

had a bit of a headstart. The desert temple is probably still my favorite. Love the spinner.

First fifteen minutes of gameplay. Not a whole lot of spoilers, unless you can speak German. Mostly.

First reviews are up for Skyward Sword! Edge magazine has awarded it a 10 out of 10 (Which apparently is a big deal for Edge), and Official Nintendo Magazine has given it a 98% (Apparently the highest score they've ever given). They all report that the main game took them some 35 hours to complete while ignoring the side quests, and they estimate that completing all of those would bump the game up to at least 70 hours. Also the words 'best Zelda game ever' got thrown around.

Happy 25th birthday, Zelda.

One week to Skyward Sword's release and this is the first time I'm actually excited for this game.
The reviews are rolling in. It's currently got a metascore of 96. I will never doubt you again, Zelda. Never.

Okay, it's awesome.

Just got out of the first dungeon, and though the bosses were a tad lackluster, the use of wii-motion plus feels awesome.

They said may be the greatest yet. Let some time pass and a definitive judgment on that can be made.

Also, I'm putting this on my Christmas list. I have not been excited for this game, and thought about giving Skyward Sword a pass, but dammit I am being won over.

So I am pretty much in love with this.

The only thing I don't really like is the unnecessary rehashing of some of the series' stock things. I mean, I don't really need to hear "DU-NU-NU-NUUH" with every single item, Nintendo. Getting another empty bottle isn't really that big of a deal. And I've learned to L/Z/whatever-target 20 times already with the help of someone shouting from a roof.
I do like how they've dared to change the game formula a lot. It's not just dungeon-village-dungeon anymore. I find that refreshing.

Also, cutting things into pieces is almost therapeutic.

AND SWEET JEGUS THIS ANNIVERSARY ORCHESTRA CD.
IT.
IS.
GLORIOUS.
