It has been a day since a splinter group of the city rallied to try and end the mayhem. However, it seems the witch hunt had already begun. Most eyes were on Sahrimnir, and as the day neared it’s end, they were calling for his head.

Sahrimnir idly floated in place as a few citizens approached him to escort him to a makeshift gallows. When apprehended, he did not resist, only smiled. When the noose was place around his neck, the grin on his face grew wider.

"Do you have any last words, Haunter?" someone said.

Sahrimnir only laughed, clapping his ghost claws together. This was all a joke to him. He couldn’t believe they fell for it so soon.

"FOOLS!" He shouted as his body phased through the noose. "I only wanted you to think it was me!" His form then disappeared from sight. The rest could hear the echoes of his laughter from their gullibility. Sahrimnir left the remaining citizens to pursue their hunt while he sought to continue his life somewhere else.

Sahrimnir the Haunter wins! He was the Jester.

Thank you all for playing, you can go home now!
No, I’m not that kind of asshole. Sah just fulfilled his own win condition and is removed from game.

The game continues!

Twighlight rays from the west signaled an impending night. Perplexed at what just happened, the remaining citizens all turned in for the night. Some hoped to sleep peacefully. For others, the night was just the beginning.

Night ends Wednesday the 21st at 2:00pm PST

Funny how both game 4 and game 18 had a jester up for lynch day 1, only here it worked.

Requiem was on his way back to the only place he felt safe at night, but he was not alone. The sound of faint chuckling alerted Requiem to another presence. He turned around but was greeted with only darkness. "Hello?" he shouted into the night, but sonly silence replied. Requiem resumed his walk, his pace quicker that before. When he started hearing the faint chuckling his pace quickened to a run. The chuckling grew louder. Requiem rounded a corner and a silhouette pounced on him. Requiem shrieked, but no one was around to help.

Requiem was killed. He was Golduck. Affiliation: Brotherhood

Weldar woke up from a state of unconsciousness. He found himself bound to a chair in a room illuminated by one light directly over him. A table sat in front of him.

"Where am I?" He asked.

Laughter responded. Weldar turned his head to notice the silhouette of another Pokemon approach him holding a bucket.

"Who are you? What's that?" Weldar asked.

The figure got closer and said, "This is your only way out of here." And the Pokemon dumped what was in the bucket on the table. Thousands of little colorful flakes spilled across the table.

"Sprinkles?" Weldar asked in confusion. He

"Yes! Sprinkles!" the silhouette laughed. "I'll make a game with you. You can leave with your life if..." The figure undid the chains that bound Weldar's arms and whispered into his ear, "you sort these sprinkles by color."

Then the Pokemon bounded out of the room, laughing at the punishment as if it was a clever joke. Weldar hesitated. With the number of sprinkles there, he could be in there forever.

"Oh, and one more thing," the other Pokemon said. The overhead light turned off with a loud switch, and another light turned on shortly after. This new light blinked. At first, the blinking was slow, but the speed grew shortly until the flashing was nauseating for Weldar.

"DO IT BY STROBELIGHT!"

Weldar was captured. He cannot post or send PM's.

Avos was on his way back to his hideout when suddenly someone shouted, "There you are!" Avos was confused. He had been trying to avoid all contact at night by sticking to the shadows. He tried running faster but the pursuer was hot on his tail. It wasn't long before whoever was chasing Avos cornered him in an alley. With his back against a wall, he tried to make a stand, but he wasn't quick enough to react. "Take this!" The Pokemon shouted and with one blow to Avos's head the figure knocked Avos out with severe head trauma. The Pokemon then finished off Avos, ending his life.

Avos was killed. He was Spinda. Affiliation: Mafia

The town gathered where they left off the next morning, noticing their numbers were fewer. Some wanted answers. Some wanted justice. One just wanted someone to tell him that everything would be ok.

It is now Day 2. Night falls in about 48 hours on March 23rd 2:00pm PST.

Okay, so two nightkills means we either have two mafias, or a serial killer/vig and a mafia.

Seeing as Avos's affiliation was "mafia" I'm kind of inclined to think it's the latter, that maybe Brotherhood is a town-alligned mason group, or a third-party cult. If it's a normal Mafia cult, which works by recruiting, then that's scary, cult is one of the hardest forces for towns to deal with late-game, they either perish early, or they live to gain a fast majority lategame and wipe out everything. Cults can grow faster than mafias can, so they need to be added to our scumhunt. But, if they're masons, then we probably have nothing to worry about. Probably.

Avos is always really hard for me to read, so good job to whoever sniped him as mafia. I know there was a consensus that he was scum, but as vig shooting first and asking later is usually risky. Personally, I would have let it run through a cop scan or more town probing. but hey, it worked, I won't argue with results.

Avos doesn't surprise me in the slightest. Brotherhood sounds kinda cultish to be honest, so I'd say look out for another one or two of them, because If they are cult I'll bet there's still one with recruiting powers, be it the original recruiter or the likely lieutenant. Food for thought for now, their role is speculative but it's as good a guess as any at the moment. We don't want to let that grow.

The thing that intrigues me about Weldar's capture is largely that it was announced. Jailers are usually silent. Moreover they're night actions, not typically day-resolving powers. Will give more thoughts in a bit, when I have some free time on my hands.

yeah the avos kill sounds like a vig. and good job too i must say. as for the brotherhood, personally i don't think they're necessarily a negative force, but it would be probably be wise to prune it even still. soooo weldar can't send or receive pms...does that also mean he can't post in the thread?

Avos is very hard to read, so having him out as Mafian is nice.

I would be inclined to assume that the brotherhood is a mason group, but I wouldn't be surprised if it were a cult either, so we should watch out for that...

As for it being announced that he cannot post or PM, I've never seen that before, so I have no idea what it could be. My only guess would be a spin on the jailor role.

The only "good" aliened brotherhood that comes to mind is the Brotherhood of Steel, and they're more Neutral. So I am immediately suspicious of them.

and I am willing to bet that it is a SK not a Vigilante, Most Vigilantes wait for a kill much closer to the end and not a night one kill on someone who's play style was more akin to troll logic than rational thought. and while the SK is an issue they can still be of use to help weed out mafia members.

Couple more quick thoughts here. Avos was legitimately suspicious, DRT. He fucked up my reaction test so bad it isn't even that funny; sucked up to me the entire dayphase, which in and of itself looked deliberate and out of character, and when I mentioned it pulled a COMPLETE 180 and condemned me for the very behavior he'd been complimenting Razz. I could see a vigilante going for him. To be frank, a SK would leave him ALIVE so as to make the town take another dayphase to get rid of him.

And I disagree about the vigilante tactic thing completely: Ideally a vigilante wants to stop killing near the end, because any mistake could completely fuck the town over. Last game when it was down to the wire I pushed for TD to use his nightkill on DRTJR in a bid to shorten the game by a dayphase. Unless there's a near-100% certainty of a target, it's usually not worth the risk in endgame for a vig. They keep it in their pants.

Thinking about Weldar, he could be either silenced, meaning he simply can't post today, or poisoned, meaning some weird tortured delayed death. For now it's not worth worrying about, he'll either flip dead or be set free. To be perfectly honest, I think he's dead: Silencers don't get flavor text, that'd be absolutely counterproductive to their purpose. Everyone would KNOW the guy's silenced, what would the point really be?

So that gives us three killing powers. Hopefully one was a 1-shot, because otherwise we've got a fucking steep deathrate. One mafia, one SK, one vig, I think.

Question. What if the reason Weldar is announced to have been captured is that someone is able to save him?

Question 2- what side do you think the jailer is on?

That question is relevent mainly because after Avos did his day one scumfest, Av defended him in the fact that he joined the vendetta against Q last game, and Weldar switched his vote away from avos onto Sah. Now, these are fairly innocent actions- mafians have been much more defensive of one another day one. Still, I'm wondering who jailed Weldar and why they did so.

I can see a jailer for Weldar much more easily than it being a "Death", especially because of the inclusion of the "Cannot post or recieve PMs" line.

I'm on the fence over whether the it's the work of a Vig or a SK, although I suppose it doesn't matter too much as long as they hit mafians.

And just in case we can help...

To The Pokemon in Town Hall: Everything will be all right.

To Weldar: Eat the sprinkles, then they'll all be the same color.

Since Avos was mafia, he could have argued with his fellow mafians to paint them in a better light upon his death. Following this kind of reverse psychology theory, that would make Q and Weldar suspicious. HOWEVER, that's not enough to form an argument to back a vote, so I'm gonna hold off on voting and get some sleep.

In a room illuminated only by the oscillating flash of a strobe light, a body lay slumped over a table. Sprinkles of a variety of colors were scattered around him. it was a seizure induced coma...the "jailer" had strobe lights going on during whatever weldar was supposed to be doing. so perhaps this person has the ability to slowly kill whomever they entrap? just some food for thought

So there are some options that I am not familiar with. A second mafia or a serial killer/ vig sounds logical, but I am not familiar about the mason group and the cult. So I would like to learn more about this brotherhood-situation. Can someone please explain me what is meant with the recruiting of a player for a cult?

I like to understand the situation that Weldar died aswell.

So in this game is someone with the ability to jail another player. Ok… Smash reported to us that Weldar was captured, but why is the jailer kill Weldar during this dayphase?

You guys made it through six pages last dayphase. In one rl days you barely got through one now.

Don't make me extend the dayphase.

I might have to randomly kill somebody if I extend the dayphase.

Or I'll just end the phase with no vote.
