The Q&A thread

Post  Doctor Shulk on Fri Feb 15, 2013 4:45 pm

Salt and vinegar potato chips with frozen raspberry yogurt.

My friends were bored at school, apparently. I had the opportunity to eat snails, once, but I chickened out and got french onion soup instead.

What's the strangest or most interesting food you've ever eaten?

Mine has to be fried grasshoppers. Actually a hell of a lot nicer than I expected, they lasted like little tiny pieces of beef with eyes and an exoskeleton. And because I have it with everything, they were dipped in tomato sauce too.

didn't taste bad, but not like much either Razz

What's a funyun? Sounds like a neopet...

Snails aren't amazing. Someone bought some to my Eurovision party. The first few chews aren't bad, but because they're so rubbery it's like eating chewing gum. They quickly turn horrible when you have to chew and chew and chew. Plus they have no flavour, they only taste like what they're cooked in. You didn't miss much.

I'm not really sure, probably something in Mexico long enough ago I don't really remember. I say I'd be willing to try anything once but I guess I've never really been called to put that to the test. One that's probably up there that came about from watching a stream of Paper Mario where someone expressed interest in trying to make honey mushroom themselves was, well honey mushrooms. Frying them in honey, not so great. Raw and stuffed with honey though, pretty tasty, Mario was onto something.

If we go to drinks though I do recall shortly after we'd acquired our juicer and I decided to juice as many things as possible at once to test the thing out. It was very sour. A whole lemon is a bit too much.

Funyuns is the brand name of an onion-flavored corn snack introduced in the United States in 1969 and invented by Frito-Lay employee Ray Trinidad of Arlington, TX. While consisting primarily of cornmeal, Funyuns are ring-shaped using an extrusion process, representing the shape and texture of fried onion rings. A salt and onion mix give them the flavor. They are a product of PepsiCo's Frito-Lay company.

So I have figured out some interesting things. Apparently one of my friends who I did not know was into it is apparently into the same Master/servant thing as I am. So that got me wondering.

If a servant were to ask you to be their Master. What would you say?

Agreeing with Surge, here. It's not something I'd feel comfortable with and it's not something I'd want to get involved in.

(for a second question, if you were cooking to impress someone, what would you cook?)

Probably not no. I'm not much of one for being a leader type so I can't imagine I'd be all that comfortable with it.

As for the second question. Depends a lot of what kind of thing the person in question likes (case in point, I'm not a big fan of risotto so sorry baby but you'll need to do a lot of work to impress me Snake) To give some actual answers out of the stuff I regularly cook though, probably creamy blue cheese pasta or taquitos.

Probably just pasta with something, depending on what they like/ don't like. It's all I eat, and I don't really care about impressing people with food Neutral

As for the servant/master thing, I'd say no as well. It'd make me nervous and would kind of creep me out. I prefer a relationship with more of an equality-feel.
That being said, I do seem to have a tendency of getting into relationships where the other grows heavily dependant on me ._.

I'm to much a passive person that it would be more likely me to need a master if I were into that scene. I'm always trying to make everyone comfortable and taking care of things for others.

My best and easiest thing I can make... Spaghetti or Mac -n- Cheese. I can do more elaborate things if asked, but usually am to lazy to really get into cooking.

Master/servant: Eh, sure, why not? If a guy is desperate to clean my house/be my sexual plaything then he can be my guest. I always seem to find myself being the natural leader anyway, so being a master isn't too much of an adjustment Razz Besides, if he's the sort that wants someone to be in charge of his life, I'd rather it be me than someone who'd take advantage of that and completely mess him up. Least I'd look after him.

Dish to impress: Spaghetti bolognese! It's my signature dish and I love making it. Tastes pretty good as well if I do say so myself, hee.
