Thing is you can't relate the games to one another. Like you can't go oh WW was not as good as Oot when they were very different games that were made with two different intentions in mind.

...I think they're pretty similar.

And I do think OOT is better.

You really should get into the top-down Zeldas, SGR. They are just as good as the 3D ones. And as I said before, you like PH, so why not?

I have no played PH but I don't really plan to. I mean I don't own a DS so its kinda hard and it just does seem attractive to me.

I have played and beaten OoT once. Wind Waker, however, I've gone through about seven times cause I think it's that awesome of a Zelda game. I love the stylized art concept the game has. I actually enjoy exploring the sea (beats Hyrule Field), story played out nicely and as said, end boss and ending was awesome. Ocarina of Time is great too and it really propelled the series, but I just don't see myself playing through it again.

Now Twilight Princess I might go through again. Though that was good too, I just don't think it has the credit it should cause it started as a GC game and I guess everyone was hoping it'd be this great successor to OoT. I thought it was great, and fun, if not for some easy-as-crap bosses. Phantom Hourglass... was a disappointment. If you think WW is too easy, PH is nothing. I also would like the potion of button mapped controls.

Difficulty in Zelda games is a big issue for me too. It's true, most Zelda games are becoming far too short and easy nowadays. I think ALTTP was the game that perfected the series' difficulty curve, though I guess it might be too difficult for some. OOT is good too, but ALTTP is challenging without going too far. If I had to put the Zelda games in order from my fav to least fav (it's often interchangable though), it'd be something like:

1. MM
2. OOT
3. ALTTP
4. TP
5. LA
6. TWW
7. OOA/S
8. MC
9. PH
10. AOL
11. LOZ

That's just a rough thing really though, that could change around in many ways. Anyway, TP I think, was a great game, but everyone made unrealistic expectations for it, and that's why it gets so much grief if you ask me. It IS way too easy though.

EDIT: Whoops! I forgot Minish Cap

Mine is probably
1) Oot
2) MM
3) WW
4)TP
5) ALTTP
and everything else is kinda in a random order

I must disagree with the WW > PH in difficulty smashbro, I found PH harder with the shielded zora enemies and the much more creative bosses that took more thinking and time to beat, and the Temple of the Ocean King could be quite difficult at times. WW I can't really think of any hard parts, maybe the part where you get the Master Sword, but that is all. Also just about every hard enemy gave you that ball thing that gave you 3 hearts so you never got low on hearts at all.

Yah, I know, I have only played 2 after all and I haven't played LttP in a very long time, maybe I'll replay that sometime, and yes I still am looking for them at stores. You know I eventually found Oracle of Seasons, maybe I'll find another soon........

LOZ = Legend of Zelda
AOL = Zelda II: Adventure of Link
ALTTP = A Link to the Past
LA = Link's Awakening
OOT = Ocarina of Time
MM = Majora's Mask
OOS = Oracle of Seasons
OOA = Oracle of Ages
TWW = The Wind Waker
MC = The Minish Cap
TP = Twilight Princess
PH = Phantom Hourglass

BTW, SGR, I'd say you should play Seasons before Ages, mainly because it's the easier of the two, imo. Although, you might die more often in Seasons than in Ages.

I've only played a handful of the Zeldas, and a majority of these have been the 3D Zeldas, so my Zelda teir is incomplete.
1. Wind Waker
2. Ocarina of Time
3. Four Swords (This is counting adventures and the GB version, only zelda game that I can play with friends. and surgepox does love a good party game, especially when it has the friendship-ruining potential of Four Swords)
4. Link to the Past
5. Twilight Princess (Fuck yeah, Ball-and-Chain)
6. Anything else
7. Majoras Mask
8. Zelda 2: The adventure of link.

The two at the bottom of the list are the only two Zeldas I've ever played and not liked. Zelda 2 is kind of obvious, but before you nerdrage at me, I just didn't like Majora's Mask. I played ten minutes and decided that it wasn't fun enough to merit spending my time on, and returned it to my friend. I'm sure it's a wonderful game, but I couldn't get into it.

Understandable on MM, but I'd give it another chance eventually. I felt the same way about it at first actually. Played the first little 3 day sequence then didn't play for a few months. Give it another go if you're bored out of your mind, you'll find its got quite a bit of charm and interesting gameply compared to other Zelda games.
