The Mario RPGs
Yes, from the ever so loved Super Mario RPG on the SNES to the 3 Paper Marios (well, Super Paper Mario might not count) and Mario and Luigis, this is a place for the Mario RPGs, a great series that has been on most of Nintendo's systems.
Just got Bowser's Inside Story and am loving it to pieces, so I thought I'd make a topic about it and the other Mario RPGs. How many of them do you own? What's your favorite one? What would you like to see in another? What are your favorite characters in them as well?
Here they are:

The only one I've played is Paper Mario and the Thousand Year Door. I love it. One of my favorite Game Cube games. Favorite partner is the little Yoshi you get, namely cause of, well, you can name him, faster movement, his spunk, the fact that it can be a different color, and it's Yoshi!d. Though, I don't have much interest in playing any of the GBA ones though I hear they're great.

Re: The Mario RPGs
Isn't there also "Mario RPG"? I remember my boyfriend playing it, it had Geno.
I've played about half of Thousand Year Door, it's good fun, but it's not mine. I kinda want to finish it. After semester ends.
I kinda wanted moar Weeeeeeegeeeeeee though. I loled epically hard at how the people he was working with hated his guts, poor guy.
Also playing as Bowser is awesome. I guess you get that in Bowser's Inside Story and Super Paper Mario (?) too, right?
I like the RPG games. Though I suck at any game that isn't Pokemon, and that I'm not too good at either, so eh. Usually I throw the controller away in frustration, particuarly if my boyfriend happens to be nearby.

It was those two or Kirby and Dedede. I don't know which would have given me more cred. Probably neither.

This thread reminds me of my nerdy side. I've beaten all the RPG's. Good stuff.

Re: The Mario RPGs
Played Super Mario RPG.- Liked it, beat it thoroughly, don't see the appeal in Geno in Smash at all. (Good game though)
Did not like Paper Mario.
Lover Paper Mario 2- probably one of my favorite games.
Couldn't bring myself to complete Mario & Luigi or Partners in time- just put it down and never picked it back up.
Felt that Super Paper Mario was interesting and enjoyed the story almost as much as tTYD.
Have not played Bowser's inside story yet.

The line between magic, And Madness,
Is fragile and easily frayed.
One can easily slip through the cracks, fall into the darkness
and meet the denizens of
"The other side."
But is this madness?
Or is this Magic?

Super Mario RPG was amazing. But the best moment from any game ever is still Shy Guys Toy Box from Paper Mario

Re: The Mario RPGs
Well I own them all, and I think my favorite is going to be Bowser's Inside Story, enjoying it more than I did the others surprisingly.
Yes yes yes! I loved that place.
Have you tried Superstar Saga?

I own it.
I got all the way to the final dungeon and just put it down and never picked it back up.

You should finish it some time, loved the last 2 bosses on that game, especially the last one.
